The Amstel Botel is certainly a hotel with a difference. This 3 star hotel is actually located within a boat, yeah a real floating hotel! Don't worry if you're a land-lover though, the botel is currently moored (on a slab of concrete) in a good location, close to Amsterdam's top attractions, shopping districts and entertainment areas.

The 'botel' is docked at Oosterdokskade, a lovely waterside location that's really close to some of Amsterdam's top sights. And because you're only a minute or two from Central Station you're going to have the hub of Amsterdam's public transport system on your doorstep!

The hotel has 175 bedrooms and offers clean, safe accommodation in the heart of the city. In our opinion the rooms are on the small side and the en suites are also very small. However, as it is supposed to be a boat, this is to be expected. And although you really feel like you're on a boat, because it's on a slab of concrete you get to avoid any motion sickness!

As you walk onto the 'botel' you enter a large reception area. There's a wide staircase straight ahead and the reception desk is to your left. There's also a good sized luggage storage room behind reception, so you can drop your bags in there if you've arrived too early for check-in.

To your right there's the hotel bar which is open daily between 9am and 12.45 am and breakfast is served daily between 7am and 10.30am.

The city tax is included in the hotel rate.
