The Hotel Aalborg is a family-run run hotel with 36 bedrooms in a very pretty part of the city, overlooking the Sarphatipark. The area surrounding the hotel is known as The Pijp.

The location is probably the main attraction of this hotel as it's well linked to the tram system and ideally situated in the charming area of Amsterdam's Old South. It's also close to the RAI, the city's conference centre and the Albert Cuyp Market, Amsterdam's most popular day market.

With its light orange cushions, black headboard and furniture, the interior of the rooms all have a really modern feel to them - you can clearly see the influences of the Turkish interior designer throughout the hotel.

Another thing about the Hotel Aalborg is that, as it's family owned and only has 36 rooms we found it to be charming and very personal.
