The Hotel Terminus is a comfortable 3-star hotel boasting an excellent location with Dam Square and many of Amsterdam's main attractions, shopping and nightlife spots within walking distance.

The hotel is housed within nine 18th century buildings. If you're wondering why it takes so many houses to make one hotel - well, when these houses were originally built they were very narrow and the narrower the house, the lower the city tax...this is a bit of a feature throughout Amsterdam.

As you enter the hotel through its glass doors you climb a few steps to the spacious reception area - there are disability ramps on either side of these steps. You'll immediately notice the high ceilings (typical of an older building) and there's a fantastic light fitting - very unusual.

The reception leads on to the hotel bar and both areas are manned by friendly staff. There's also a relaxing lounge with an Internet terminal. The furnishings, here, are very modern and as you look around you'll notice the comfortable yellow, blue and red leather armchairs.

If you've come on business, the hotel has a range of facilities for meetings and conferences while other amenities include a solarium, so you can work on your tan.
