This famous museum, which is over 300 years old, was once home to the National Dutch Navy and can be found housed in the National Naval Depot. The Netherland's Maritime Museum holds one of the world’s most important maritime collections with an immense display featuring four centuries of Dutch naval history.
The permanent exhibition reveals how significant the Netherlands actually was as a sea-faring nation from its age of explorers and merchants right through to a modern day container port. In the museum you'll see paintings, antiquarian historical maps and navigational instruments.
The ship is open to the public all year round. There are actors on board demonstrating what life was like on board between the months of April and October.
